2010 MS LIONS ALL STATE BAND MEMBERS

Tierney Cade, Samantha Hill, Jennifer Quiros, Kaysea Scott, Jacob Diercks (1st chair Clarinet), Matt Drewes, Joseph Fountain, Adrienne Cocco, Taylor Powell, Michael Dunaway, Kaiki Yamashiro (1st chair trombone), Austin Platt, Cody Freeman, Garrett Bond, Eli dollar, Sam Rodberg, Josh Diercks. Alternates include Luke Dunaway and Stephanie Diaz.


THE 2010 LIONS BAND WILL TRAVEL TO AUSTRALIA IN JUNE TO COMPETE IN THE INTERNATIONAL BAND CHAMPIONSHIP. MS LIONS BAND IS A  5 - TIME CONSECUTIVE WINNER OF THIS COMPETITION.


CONGRATS TO KAIKI YAMASHIRO
KAIKI IS THE 2010 WINNER OF THE $1000 McDONALD'S SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDED BY THE DESCHER GROUP.  SIXTEEN STUDENTS FROM THE GULF COAST AREA AUDITIONED FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP. BY WINNING THE SCHOLARSHIP, THE OSHS BAND DEPARTMENT ALSO RECEIVES $1000.
OS BANDS TO PERFORM AT USM's ALL- SOUTH CONDUCTORS' CONFERENCE

Ocean Springs Middle School Symphonic Band and Ocean Springs High School Wind Ensemble will perform in concert at the All - South Conductor's Conference at the University of Southern Mississippi's Bennett Auditorium on Thursday, February 11, 2010.  The Middle School group will begin at 7:00 PM followed by the High School Wind Ensemble at 8:00 PM.  The concert is part of USM's "In Concert" series and Ocean Springs is the only middle and high school groups invited to perform. It is indeed an honor for both groups.
